Important Details
- Engagement is on a full-time contract basis for one year, extendable by another year at a time, with the total cumulative period not exceeding 5 years.
- Consultants are not permitted to take up any other assignment during the consultancy period.
- No increment or allowance such as DA, residential telephone, transport facility, personal staff, residential accommodation or medical reimbursement is admissible
- TA/DA is allowed for official travel inside the country with prior approval.
- Income tax and other applicable taxes are deducted at source and GST is payable extra at prevalent rates.
- Leave is allowed at 1.5 days for each completed month of service and cannot be carried forward or encashed.
- The consultant holds the legal status of an independent consultant and not a staff member or official of AAI, and is responsible for his or her own life and health insurance.
- No criminal case should be pending against the applicant, to be self-certified.
- Either side may terminate the engagement with one month notice or remuneration in lieu of the notice period.

Attendance and Leave
- Biometric or manual attendance to be marked daily at the place of reporting
- Leave at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service
- Unavailed leave in a calendar year cannot be carried forward or encashed
- Proportionate deduction from the consultancy fee for absence other than holidays and permissible leave
- AAI may terminate the service if the consultant remains absent without intimation for more than 03 working days
Other Contract Conditions
- Consultant to be in formal attire while on duty
- No use of the AAI name, logo or official seal without permission
- Data, statistics and information collected during the contract are confidential
- AAI may require a statement of good health from a recognised physician before the contract begins
- AAI is not liable for compensation for injury, illness or death attributable to performance of the services
- Existing consultants continue on their existing entitlements till completion of tenure but may compete for fresh opportunities advertised under this policy
