Contract Terms
- Engagement is purely temporary on contract basis for 11 months; extension depends on project requirement, performance evaluation and approval of the competent authority.
- Contract can be terminated by one month notice on either side, or forthwith by paying a sum equivalent to one month contractual amount.
- Benefits of Provident Fund, Pension Scheme, Leave Travel Concession and medical claims are not admissible.
- Contract appointees have no claim on a regular post in the institute or the funding agency.
- Qualification and experience must be in the relevant discipline and from an institution of repute; experience must have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
- Mere fulfilment of the essential qualification does not guarantee selection.
