Guest Teacher
A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in a concerned/relevant/allied subject, that is MA in Linguistics / LAMM or Ph.D. in Linguistics / Linguistics (LAMM), from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. Besides this, candidates must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET, or hold a Ph.D. Degree awarded in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil/Ph.D. degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments, which exempts them from NET/SLET/SET. Candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009 are exempted from NET/SLET/SET subject to the prescribed conditions. Alternatively, the Ph.D. degree may have been obtained from a foreign university/institution ranked among the top 500 in the World University Ranking by QS, THE or ARWU.

All eligible candidates will be interviewed at the office of the Dean, Faculty of Arts, AMU, Aligarh; the list of eligible candidates and the interview date and time will be displayed on the Department of Linguistics website and no separate interview letter will be issued.

PwD Category Rules
- Only persons with a relevant disability of a minimum extent of 40% may apply for posts earmarked for PwD candidates, and they must upload a Disability Certificate on the prescribed proforma issued by the Competent Authority.
