10+2 with Science subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) and B.Sc (Medical Laboratory Technology) OR 10+2 with Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology) and 2 years Diploma (DMLT from AICTE approved institute). Candidate with 1 year of Lab experience in a recognized institute after completion of DMLT shall be preferred. Candidates with work experience in Molecular Biology and Quality assured Laboratory shall be preferred.

Candidates with the essential qualifications are shortlisted on the basis of career marks; fifteen candidates shortlisted on merit are called for certificate verification and interview.

Shortlisted candidates are called for verification of their certificates and documents.
- 3Viva-voce
Interview carrying a weightage of 40 marks; the final merit list is prepared from career mark weightage and the viva-voce test mark.
