- 10th Passed/Matriculate from any recognized board. Certificate of training of Cook/Halwai in food hygiene and food safety aspects along with personal hygiene requirements commensurate with their work activities, the nature of food, its handling, processing, preparation, packaging, storage, service and distribution from a certified agency.
- Experience
- Adequate experience of preparing Indian/Western dishes; work experience of minimum one year as Cook/Halwai in a catering establishment/hotel/hospital

Important Details
- Candidates applying for more than one post must submit a separate application for each post and pay the application processing fee separately for each post.
- The application processing fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Selected candidates must submit a valid Police Verification Report at the time of document verification, failing which the selection is liable to be cancelled.
- No TA/DA is admissible for attending any test, document verification, interview, personal interaction, skill test or for joining duties.
- Preference may be given to local candidates and to candidates with relevant experience in the same or similar department.
- Candidates previously engaged by BECIL or the Client whose services were terminated, discontinued or not renewed on account of disciplinary action, misconduct, unsatisfactory performance or violation of contractual terms are not eligible.
- The number of vacancies is tentative and may increase or decrease depending on the Client's requirement.
Medical Examination and Vaccination for Kitchen Staff (Annexure A)
- Medical tests for food handlers: Hemoglobin Percentage (HB%), Liver Function Test (LFT), Widal Test, Hepatitis A (Total Antibody Test), Deworming, Stool Examination Routine/Microscopy (R/M), Stool Culture and Sensitivity (C/S) for detection of carrier state
- Hepatitis A vaccination: two doses at 0 months and 6 months
- Hepatitis B: antibody titers checked if previously vaccinated; booster dose administered if required; standard schedule 0 months, 1 month and 6 months
- Typhoid (Conjugate Vaccine): advised for all kitchen staff, one dose every 10 years, booster doses may be recommended
