Fee is remitted through SBI Collect (online) or at any SBI branch. In SBI Collect select state of Corporation/Institution as All India, type of Corporation/Institution as PSU - Public Sector Undertaking, then Bharat Electronics Limited, and payment category 'Recruitment of Project Engineer-I for EW&A SBU'. Candidates paying at a branch must download and print the challan, deposit Rs. 400 plus 18% GST and applicable bank charges, and obtain the bank official's seal and signature. The same mobile number and email ID used in the application form must be given in SBI Collect.
Selection Process
- 1Written Test
85% of the total marks; minimum qualifying marks are 35% for UR/OBC-NC/EWS and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD.
- 2Interview
15% of the total marks; candidates who qualify in the written test are called in the ratio of 1:5 in order of merit in each role and each category; minimum qualifying marks are 35% for UR/OBC-NC/EWS and 30% for SC/ST/PwBD.

Salary Structure
An all-inclusive consolidated remuneration of Rs. 50,000 per month for the 1st year of engagement, with an increase of Rs. 5,000 for every extension of contract.
Project Engineer-I: Rs. 50,000 per month in the first year, rising by Rs. 5,000 on every extension. Additional consolidated amount of Rs. 12,000 per year towards insurance premium, attire allowance, stitching charges, footwear allowance and similar expenses. Retention bonus of Rs. 25,000 for every completed year for Project Engineers who complete the overall tenure of 4 years, payable at the end of 4 years, that is Rs. 1,00,000. Gratuity admissible as per the BEL Employees Gratuity Scheme.

Important Details
- Project Engineers are engaged on a temporary basis for the Electronic Warfare & Avionics Strategic Business Unit at Bangalore Complex.
- Lateral application for the same post is not permitted and will be summarily rejected.
- Candidates working in PSUs or Government organisations must submit a No Objection Certificate at the time of application or interview.
- Trainee Engineers currently working in BEL must attach an Intimation Letter signed by the concerned HR, without which the application is rejected; existing Trainee Engineers who have completed a minimum of one year as Trainee Engineer-I in BEL and meet the eligibility criteria may apply.
- Selected candidates must obtain a medical insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakhs per annum and a life cover insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs per annum and submit it at the time of joining.
- Applications in any format other than online will not be considered, and no cheque, DD or cash is accepted towards the application fee.
- OBC (NCL) candidates must produce a certificate issued on or after 01.10.2025 and EWS candidates an Income and Asset certificate for 2025-26.
