Eligibility Details
Artisan Grade IV (all trades) - Educational Qualification
Class X PLUS National Trade Certificate (NTC / ITI) PLUS National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) in the respective trade with not less than 60% marks for Gen & OBC candidates and 55% marks for SC & ST candidates in both NTC/ITI and NAC. Desirable: knowledge of the regional language for Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka based units and Hindi for other units.

Age Limit
Upper age limit as on 01-10-2026: 27 years for Gen/EWS, 30 years for OBC (NCL), 32 years for SC/ST. No minimum age limit is specified.
Age Relaxation
OBC (NCL) 3 years, SC/ST 5 years. PwD and Ex-Serviceman relaxation as per Government rules. Up to 7 years of age relaxation on the basis of relevant work experience in the prescribed format.
Selection Process
- 1Computer Based Test (CBT)
To be held in December (tentative) on the same day for all vacancies. Further details of the selection process will be hosted on the BHEL Careers website by 19 October 2026.
Important Details
- A candidate can apply against vacancies of only one BHEL manufacturing unit and must choose the unit of preference carefully against the vacancies available in the respective trade.
- The manpower requirement of 660 Artisan Grade IV posts is tentative and the actual requirement may vary based on further assessment.
- Category-wise reservation will be as per Government guidelines.

As per BHEL policy, the Artisan Grade IV vacancies are partially earmarked to be filled through dependents of deceased BHEL employees on compassionate grounds. If these vacancies are not filled due to non-availability of qualified candidates, they may be filled through open selection.

Can I apply for more than one BHEL unit?
