How to Apply
- 1Register as a candidate on the Apprenticeship India portal for ITI trade apprentices.
- 2Log in, go to Apprenticeship Opportunity and search by establishment name SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant, then apply against the prescribed trade.
- 3For Graduate and Diploma apprentices, register as a student on the NATS portal.
- 4Log in, go to Establishment Requests, click Find Establishments and select Steel Authority of India Limited, Bhilai Steel Plant.
- 5Apply in the passed-out branch of engineering or discipline appearing on the portal.
- 6Take a printout of the filled-in online application for future reference.
- 7Walk in at Room No. 123, HRDC, Bhilai Steel Plant on the scheduled date for your trade or branch with the required documents.

Important Details
- Candidates must have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates, and only those who passed in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 or 2026 are eligible; results must be declared as on the last date of application.
- Candidates who have undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under any establishment, or who have one year or more of job experience, are not eligible.
- BSP will not provide accommodation during training or travel allowance, and has no obligation to offer regular employment during or after the training.
- Engagement is subject to being declared medically fit under the Apprentices Act, 1961, with a medical certificate issued by a Government doctor bearing the doctor's medical registration number.
- Vacancies are indicative and may be changed at any time.

Stipend Payment
For Graduate and Diploma apprentices, 50% of the stipend is paid by BSP and 50% by the Board of Apprenticeship Training under DBT mode; the candidate's bank account must be DBT enabled with KYC verified.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can candidates whose qualifying examination result is not yet declared apply?
No. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but whose results are not declared or available as on the last date of application are not eligible.
Is there a written test for SAIL BSP apprentice selection?
No. There is no written test. Selection is by shortlisting on academic merit through a walk-in process, with 30% weightage to Class-X marks and 70% to the Degree, Diploma or ITI marks.
Can candidates who have already done an apprenticeship or have job experience apply?
