A waiting list will be issued for the advertised posts and will remain valid for at least one year from the date of publication or until the next recruitment advertisement, whichever is earlier. Up to 200 percent of candidates will be kept on the waiting list for up to 25 posts, 150 percent for 26 to 50 posts and 100 percent for more than 50 posts.

• Reservation follows the Chhattisgarh reservation rules and the NHM Chhattisgarh Human Resource Policy 2018.
• Only candidates with at least 40 percent disability are eligible for reservation under the disability category.
• For nursing cadre posts, only candidates with one-leg (OL) disability are eligible.
• Candidates claiming special reservation must attach the relevant certificate issued by a competent authority, failing which they will be treated as unreserved.

• Experience certificates are valid only from government, semi-government or government-funded institutions.
• NHM Chhattisgarh candidates get 3 marks per year of relevant experience up to 15 marks; other candidates get 2 marks per year up to 10 marks.
• ANM, GNM and nursing-trained Mitanins get 4 marks per year of Mitanin work experience up to 20 marks, supported by a certificate from the State Health Resource Centre, Raipur.
• Temporary health workers who served at least 6 continuous months in Chhattisgarh government health institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic get 10 bonus marks for selection to third and fourth class posts.
• Experience is counted only for completed years; service of less than 12 months earns no marks.

When two candidates score equal marks, the older candidate, based on date of birth, is placed higher in the merit order.

The engagement is on contract up to 31 March 2027 and may be extended based on satisfactory performance and approval in the Government of India ROP. Selected candidates must execute an agreement with the appointing authority on a Rs. 50 non-judicial stamp paper at their own cost. Either side may end the contract with one month's notice or one month's salary.

For nursing cadre posts other than Community Health Officer, a 20-mark test, skill or written examination on the process of delivery and newborn care will be conducted before the selection committee by a professor or tutor of a government B.Sc or GNM institution. Candidates must score at least 30 percent of the total marks in the written, skill or interview stage to remain eligible.
