Eligibility Details
ITI Trade Apprentice
ITI Pass Certificate i.e. NCVT certificate in the respective Trade. All qualifications should be from Indian Institutes recognized by the Appropriate Statutory Authority.

Age Limit
Not less than 18 years as on 31.10.2026. Upper age limit 25 years for General, 28 years for OBC, 30 years for SC/ST, with an additional 10 years relaxation for PWD candidates.
Age Relaxation
OBC 3 years (upper limit 28 years), SC/ST 5 years (upper limit 30 years), PWD additional 10 years over and above the applicable category limit
Selection Process
- 1Merit List based on ITI Marks
Candidates are selected on the basis of ITI marks merit; 70% of seats are engaged with Government ITI students and 30% with Private ITI students.
- 2Document Verification
Original documents are verified at ECIL, CLDC, Nalanda Complex, TIFR Road, Hyderabad; the date is intimated by email and candidates must attend at short notice.

- 3Take a printout of the registered online application form with the system-generated application number.

Important Details
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 in any Government, PSU or Private organization are not eligible.
- Selected candidates must execute a Contract of Apprenticeship before training begins and are not allowed to withdraw except for reasons beyond their control; those who fail to complete the training are liable to refund the whole cost of training and the stipend received, as determined by the Central Apprenticeship Advisor.
- There is no obligation of employment in ECIL after training and apprentices have no right to claim any post.
- Apprentices are engaged only after submission of a Police Verification Certificate from the SP office of their District HQ, and a physical fitness certificate from a Civil/Assistant Surgeon must be produced at joining.
- No TA/DA is paid for attending document verification.
PwBD Reservation
Out of 310 seats, 16 seats are horizontally reserved for PWD candidates. The degree of disability for PWD candidates must be 40% and above.
Apprenticeship Certificate
Every apprentice who completes the training period must undergo a practical test to determine proficiency in the designated trade. Only on passing the test will the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) be issued by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE).
