Candidates must report to the Conference Room, 2nd Floor, ESIC Hospital, Sarojini Nagar, Lucknow between 09:00 AM and 01:00 PM on 12 or 13 October 2026. Reporting after 1.00 pm is not allowed. Carry the duly filled application form in Annexure 1, originals of all certificates with one set of self-attested photocopies, two recent coloured photographs, and the fee DD where applicable. A separate application must be submitted for each post. Candidates already in service must bring a No Objection Certificate from the employer.

Important Details
- Recruitment is purely on a contractual basis and selected candidates have no claim for regularisation of service.
- Candidates already in service must submit a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview, including doctors under bond, failing which they will not be allowed to appear.
- Candidates reporting after 1.00 pm on the interview day will not be allowed to appear.
- No TA/DA is paid for appearing in the interview.
- Vacancies may increase or decrease on the day of interview.
- The Medical Superintendent reserves the right to fill up all or none of any vacancy and to alter or cancel the interview.
- The fee once paid is non-refundable.
- Proof of essential academic qualification in original must be produced on the day of interview.
- Full Time/Part Time Specialist: MBBS with PG Degree/PG Diploma/DNB or equivalent in the concerned specialty from a recognized university or institute, registered with NMC/MCI/SMC.
- BDS with MDS (Endodontic) from a recognized university and registered with the State Dental Council for the endodontic post.
- Postgraduates in Critical Care preferred for Accident & Emergency, with preference to postgraduates in Anaesthesia, Medical Specialist, Pulmonary Medicine or Paediatric Specialist if a Critical Care specialist is not available.
- Experience: at least 3 years in the respective specialty for degree holders or at least 5 years for diploma holders in the concerned specialty after completing the PG.
- Senior Resident: MBBS with PG Degree/PG Diploma/DNB or equivalent in the concerned specialty from a recognized university or institute, registered with NMC/MCI/SMC.
- In case of non-availability of PG qualified doctors, non-PG doctors having at least 2 years working experience in a government hospital after completion of compulsory rotatory internship, out of which 1 year in the same specialty, and registered with MCI/NMC/State Medical Council.
- Ayurveda and Homeopathy Physician: A Degree in Ayurveda/Homeopathy from a recognised university with enrolment on the Central Register of Indian Medicine or State Register of Indian Medicine, or the Central Register of Homeopathy or State Register of Homeopathy.
- Preference will be given to those possessing a PG qualification.
- Experience: 3 years of clinical experience in a recognized or government hospital.
Security Deposit and Indemnity Bond
Selected candidates must furnish a Demand Draft of Rs. 10,000 drawn in favour of 'ESI Fund Account No. 1' payable at Lucknow towards security deposit at the time of joining. A Senior Resident who resigns or terminates the contract within 6 months of commencement, with or without prior notice, forfeits this amount and no request for refund will be entertained. Selected Specialists must submit an indemnity bond of minimum Rs. 20 lakh.
Terms of Engagement
- Private practice of any kind is not allowed
- Full time and part time specialists must be available on call 24x7
- Minimum working hours for a part time specialist are 16 hours per week (4 days x 4 hours)
- Senior Residents work as per ESIC norms and their duties are assigned by the Medical Superintendent
- Engagement of one contractual employee in two ESIC hospitals or medical institutions at the same time is not permissible
- If eligible candidates do not appear for a Senior Resident post against the advertised category, the vacancy may be filled by available qualified and eligible Senior Resident candidates for 39 days
Future Vacancies
If vacancies arise or additional requirements emerge in any Medical Officer, Specialist or Senior Resident cadre during the next six months, interviews will be held on the first Wednesday of every month, or on the immediately following Thursday if that Wednesday is a gazette holiday. Notices will be published only on the ESIC headquarters website and no separate advertisements will be issued in newspapers.
