Important Details
- The vacancies notified are provisional and the Medical Superintendent, ESIC Hospital, Ezhukone may increase or decrease them for administrative reasons; if candidates of an advertised category are not available, the post may be filled with a UR candidate for 44 days.
- Candidates who have already completed Senior Residency for 3 years are not eligible for the Senior Resident walk-in interview.
- Private practice of any kind is not allowed and selected candidates must be available on call 24x7.
- No TA/DA is admissible for the walk-in interview and no hostel accommodation or quarters will be provided.
- On selection, the candidate must enter into an agreement with the Medical Superintendent on non-judicial stamp paper of Rs. 200 and submit a refundable security deposit of Rs. 30,000 as a Demand Draft in favour of 'ESIC Fund Account No.1' payable at SBI, Keralapuram; it is refunded after successful completion of the contract and production of a No Dues certificate.
- The appointing authority may terminate the service at any time without assigning any reason by giving one month's notice, or immediately in case of disciplinary action.
- Full Time and Part Time Specialists must hold a professional indemnity policy with a minimum sum assured of Rs. 30 lakhs per annum for Anaesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons and Neuro Surgeons, Rs. 20 lakhs for General Surgeons, Gynaecologists and Obstetricians, and Rs. 10 lakhs for Physicians, Dentists, Radiologists and Pathologists, and submit a copy of the insurance and premium receipt within 7 days of engagement.
- Full Time Specialists are entitled to 4 days leave for each month of work on a pro-rata basis, encashable up to 30 days.
- Corrigenda, if any, will be published only on the ESIC website.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can candidates who have already completed three years of Senior Residency apply?
No. Candidates who have completed Senior Residency for 3 years are not eligible to attend the walk-in interview for the Senior Resident posts.
