Eligibility Details
Post Doctoral Fellowship
PhD degree from a recognized University with a proven academic record throughout, including peer-reviewed publications and recognitions. The applicant must have at least Two (2) SCI/SCIE/ESCI indexed research publications as first author and at least two conference presentations (India or abroad) or equivalent granted patents. Hands-on experience with research tools such as Cadence/HFSS/MATLAB/Opti System/VNA is desirable.

Selection Process

Applications are screened and a list of shortlisted candidates is announced tentatively on 16 October 2026 on www.ipu.ac.in.
- 2Presentation-cum-Interview
Shortlisted candidates make a presentation and appear for an interview, tentatively on 23 October 2026.
Salary Structure
Rs. 1,08,393 per month (consolidated fellowship)
Fellowship: Rs. 1,08,393 per month Contingency Grant: Rs. 1,00,000 per year, disbursed on a pro-rata basis (e.g. Rs. 25,000 per quarter) Travel support: up to Rs. 2.10 lakh as per scheme guidelines

Important Details
- Applicants must not have completed their PhD from GGSIPU and must have completed it within the past five years on the last date of submission of application.
- Candidates in regular employment will not be considered; scientists or researchers on temporary positions in academia or research institutions may apply but must relinquish their current role if selected.
- Anyone who has already availed the fellowship under the scheme is not eligible, and the selected fellow must not receive any other fellowship during the award period.
- The original application form has to be submitted at the time of the presentation-cum-interview.
