Candidates Already in Service
Persons already in service must apply online and send the hard copy of the application through their employer. Candidates working in organisations or institutions including affiliated colleges of the university may appear for interview without a No Objection Certificate, on the condition that if selected no extension in joining time will be allowed; they must give an undertaking in the format available on the university website. Such candidates get the standard joining time of one month from the issuance of the appointment letter.
Distance Education Candidates
- Self-attested copies of certificates/degrees and all DMCs of the examinations passed
- Territorial jurisdiction or UGC-DEB approval certificate of the particular session in which the course was completed, issued by the concerned university or board
Reservation
Reservation policy for direct recruitment follows the instructions issued by the Government of Punjab and adopted by the university. Benefits of the reservation policy are given to residents of Punjab State only. SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates must attach the relevant certificate issued by the competent authority along with the latest Punjab Domicile Certificate or Punjab Residence Certificate. Candidates claiming Backward Class category must submit a photocopy of their latest valid BC certificate.
Good Academic Record and Marks Relaxation
Good academic record means at least second class with 50% marks at graduation level. A relaxation of 5% is allowed at the Bachelor's and Master's level for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and differently abled candidates, and a relaxation from 55% to 50% is allowed to Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their Master's degree prior to 19 September 1991.
