- Qualification
- Post Graduate Degree in Basic Science OR Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course (master's degree in Genetics / Plant Breeding / Genetics and Plant Breeding / Agricultural Biotechnology) selected through CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE, or through national-level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, NISER etc.
- Age Limit
- Maximum 35 years (relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and women, 3 years for OBC); minimum 18 years as on date of interview
- Desirable
- Experience in crop genetics and breeding, field and laboratory experimentation, data analysis, documentation and report compilation, with preference for research experience in wheat diseases, molecular biology, gene mapping and statistical analysis

Important Details
- The engagement is purely contractual and temporary for one year or till termination of the DBT-funded project (24-895), whichever is earlier, and the selected candidate cannot claim regular appointment at the Institute.
- Applications must be sent as a single PDF file; applications not submitted in a single file will be rejected.
- Original documents will be verified at the time of appointment, and candidates must produce all originals and a medical certificate at joining.
- No TA/DA or other expenses are paid for attending the interview.
- Candidates whose near or distant relative is an employee of ICAR/IARI must declare the name, designation, nature of duties and relationship in writing; if such a declaration is furnished and the relative is found to be an ICAR/IARI employee, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the interview.
- All other candidates must also submit the signed scan declaration in the annexed format.
- Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the New Delhi court.

- The post is purely temporary and filled on a contractual basis for one year or till termination of the project, whichever is earlier.
