- Professionals having proven competency and success in their area of specialization, with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience and should possess minimum M.Sc/B.Tech/BE/MCA/MPH/B.Pharm/BAMS/BSMS/MD in AYUSH or equivalent qualifications in relevant subject. OR Retired Government employees, with requisite qualification and who were in the regular Pay Level 10 and above and having at least 10 years experience in the required specialization.

Salary Structure
For retired Government servants the remuneration is fixed in accordance with Ministry of Finance, Dept. of Expenditure OM No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09 Dec 2020. No Provident Fund, Leave Travel Concession or medical benefits are available.

Important Details
- Both posts are on a full time contractual basis and the incumbent shall not hold any remunerative position or post during the tenure.
- Persons already in regular time scale service under any Government Department or Organisation are not eligible to apply.
- No TA/DA is paid to attend the written test, interview or personal discussion and candidates must arrange their own transport and accommodation.
- The cut-off date for the age limit is the last date for submission of applications.
- Qualification and experience must be in the relevant discipline and from an institution of repute, and experience must have been gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification.
Tenure and Extension
The initial engagement of the consultants will be for a maximum duration of one year. Extension may be considered on a case-by-case basis subject to job requirements, timely completion of tasks and satisfactory performance evaluation by the Competent Authority. The total duration of engagement will not exceed five years under any circumstances, or until the consultant attains the age of 70 years, whichever is earlier.
Leave and Working Hours
Working hours for the consultants will be the same as for regular ICMR employees and no extra benefit is allowed for working beyond office hours. Paid leave of absence may be allowed at the rate of 1.5 days for each completed month of service, and no more than five days of leave may be taken at one time. Unauthorized absence for a continuous period of 8 days without valid reason leads to automatic termination of the engagement.

Experience Certificate Requirements
Experience certificates should be in proper format and must contain the name, post, salary, area or field of work and duration. Offer letters, salary slips, joining reports and emails shall not be treated as experience certificates, and certificates without the required details will not be entertained.
Other Conditions
- The number of positions may vary and ICMR-NIHR Dibrugarh is not committed to fill up all advertised positions.
- The engagement is temporary and coterminous with the requirement, and depends on availability of funds and approval of the Competent Authority.
- The consultants are not entitled to perquisites such as Dearness Allowance, residential telephone, transport facility, residential accommodation, personal staff, CGHS or medical reimbursement.
- All applicable taxes will be deducted at source.
- Mere fulfilling the essential qualification does not guarantee selection or a call for the written test or interview.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can retired government employees apply for these posts?
Yes. Retired government employees with the requisite qualification can apply. For Senior Consultant they must have been in regular Pay Level 10 and above with at least 10 years of experience in the required specialization, and for Consultant (Finance) they must hold a Bachelor degree in any discipline and have been in Pay Level 7 and above with 10 years of experience in the relevant field.
Is the engagement full time, and can the consultant take up other work?
Both posts are on a full time basis. The selected consultant cannot hold any other remunerative position or post during the tenure of the engagement.
