Institute Post-Doctoral Fellow (IPDF)
Ph.D. in Materials Science/Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical/Electronics Engineering with a focus on Materials Research and their applications to Electronic Devices, from a recognized university or institution. Ph.D. scholars who have submitted their thesis are also eligible to apply, but the scholar must submit the provisional or degree certificate within six months from the date of appointment.

Salary Structure
Rs. 67,000 per month plus House Rent Allowance as per Institute rules; candidates who have submitted their thesis and await the award of the Ph.D. degree receive a reduced fellowship of Rs. 35,000 per month plus HRA until the degree or provisional certificate is submitted

- Candidates who have completed their Ph.D. from IISER Bhopal are not allowed to apply.
- It is mandatory for IPDFs to hold a medical insurance policy of a minimum of Rs. 1 lakh in their own name, valid throughout the fellowship period, and no medical reimbursement is admissible.
- Besides research work, the selected IPDF is expected to assist in teaching courses as required by the Department.
- No accommodation will be provided.
- Mere fulfilment of eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for an interview; only shortlisted candidates will be called.
