Important Details

Working Hours and Accommodation
Working hours are 8 hours per day, 6 days a week, and the appointee must work on weekends and holidays when informed by the Head of Department, Faculty-in-Charge or Chairperson. Contractual employees are not eligible for campus residential accommodation, though the Institute may allot it on a case-to-case basis depending on the essentiality of their services, subject to availability and payment of licence fee.
Medical Facilities for Contract Employees
Medical facilities are limited to outpatient treatment (OPD) during medical emergencies, with minimal charges of Rs. 100 for a normal OPD visit and Rs. 200 for a specialist. No reimbursement of medical expenses is admissible.
Experience Certificate Requirements
Work experience certificates must be on the organisation's letterhead and clearly state the designation, period of service, nature of work assignment and pay, and bear the date of issue, name, designation, signature and stamp of the issuing authority. Applications are summarily rejected if the relevant experience, caste, educational and date of birth certificates are not uploaded as instructed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will part-time work experience be counted?
No. Only post-qualification experience gained after the minimum qualifying degree is considered, and part-time employment experience is not counted.
Is the appointment permanent?
No. The engagement is purely contractual for an initial 11 months and may be extended based on satisfactory performance and the Institute's requirements.
Do I need to send a printout of the application to IIT Hyderabad?
