Candidates must report to the designated walk-in venue between 0900 and 1000 hrs on the scheduled date for the post. Candidates reporting after 1000 hrs will not be permitted to appear for the walk-in interview, written test or skill test. For posts requiring a written and skill test, the written test result is declared on the same day and qualifying candidates appear for the skill test after verification of documents and certificates. Non-production of original certificates during the written test, skill test or joining disqualifies the candidate.

Important Details
- Appointments are purely temporary and on a short-term contract basis, initially up to 31.03.2027 or co-terminus with the project period, whichever is earlier; for the COPE, Alwar and RSPCB projects the initial tenure is one year or co-terminus with the project.
- The date of the interview is the cut-off date for all purposes including age, qualification and experience.
- The place of posting can be anywhere in India and is transferable.
- The Institute may terminate the appointment by giving one month's notice.
- No TA/DA is paid for attending the walk-in interview, except to SC/ST candidates as per Government of India orders.
- The scheme of examination for Technical Assistant, Field/ Laboratory Assistant and Project Assistant is uploaded on the Institute website.
- Desirable qualifications and experience may be relaxed at the discretion of the Director for exceptionally good candidates.
- Selected candidates may have to join immediately on being found fit by the Medical Authority.
- The number of vacancies may vary depending on project requirements.
Higher Emolument for NET/GATE Qualified Candidates
The higher emolument under Project Associate II (Rs. 35,000 + HRA) and Project Associate I (Rs. 31,000 + HRA) is for candidates having NET/CSIR-UGC/GATE or having passed a national level examination conducted by a Central Government Department and its agencies and institutions. Other candidates get Rs. 28,000 + HRA and Rs. 25,000 + HRA respectively.
