Important Details
- This is a project-related contractual position under the TEEBAgriFood Activities in Assam project and has nothing to do with the permanent establishment of IIFM, Bhopal; no claim for regular appointment can be made on its basis.
- The role requires extensive travel in Assam and adjoining regions, including remote locations with difficult terrain and adverse weather.
- No TA/DA is paid to attend the interview
- TA/DA for approved project-related visits is admissible as per norms and no other allowances are payable.

Role and Responsibilities
- Provide technical support on agroforestry and related nature-based solutions for TEEBAgriFood activities in Assam.
- Support identification, documentation and assessment of agroforestry practices and their environmental, social and economic benefits.
- Design and support field surveys, data collection, field assessments and analysis related to agroforestry and ecosystem services.
- Prepare technical notes, reports, case studies, knowledge products and policy briefs on agroforestry and sustainable agricultural practices.
- Support stakeholder consultations and field-level engagement with farmers, communities, government agencies, researchers and civil society organizations.
- Identify, document and promote good practices and innovative agroforestry models with potential for wider adoption.
- Contribute to design and delivery of training, capacity-building and knowledge-sharing programs for farmers and other stakeholders.
- Support integration of agroforestry and ecosystem-service considerations into TEEBAgriFood assessments and project outputs.
- Coordinate with project partners and field teams for timely collection, compilation, validation and documentation of field information.
- Contribute to project reports, presentations, publications and other technical deliverables.
- Undertake extensive field visits in Assam and adjoining regions, including remote areas with difficult terrain and adverse weather.
- Perform any other project-related technical responsibilities assigned by the Team Leader.
