Job Description
- Possess strong communication skills, analyse institutional needs and formulate effective strategies for addressing them, and be sensitive to the diversity of backgrounds at the Institute.
- Provide one-on-one counselling support to all students as required and be available to staff and faculty members of IIIT Surat.
- Be the point of contact for students in need of interpersonal or emotional counselling and be comfortable working with students from a variety of social and economic backgrounds.
- Maintain confidentiality but report to the Dean (SW), IIIT Surat, in extreme cases that demand institution or family intervention.
- Conduct workshops, talks and group discussions from time to time to help participants with their interpersonal and emotional needs, and carry out other relevant duties assigned by the Institute.
