Rail Welding (EA) Technician - Qualification and Experience
Matric + ITI OR Apprenticeship Training + NTC OR NCTVT as on 01.10.2026. Minimum three years experience in arc welding and experience in covered arc welding of butt joints on 9mm thick carbon steel sheets without backing strip, in downward or upright position in compliance with ISO 9606-1. Preference may be given to candidates having prior experience in Enclosed Arc (EA) welding or similar specialized welding work in industries such as shipbuilding, shipping, heavy engineering, railways, or other comparable applications.

Salary Structure
Rs. (22000 - 63000) + allowances
Initial Basic of the respective pay scale, Variable DA presently at 55.7% and Allowances at 15% of Basic. No HRA is given; Bachelor Accommodation is provided at project sites. Annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay based on performance.

Candidates must ensure they fulfil all eligibility criteria before reporting. Registration starts at 09:30 AM at the venue and closes at 1:00 PM on 03.11.2026 only; the interview begins at 10:00 AM onwards. Candidates must bring originals of age, community, educational qualification and experience certificates along with one set of photocopies, failing which the interview will not be held. No request for change of date, time or location will be entertained, and the process may run more than one day depending on the number of candidates.

Important Details
- The appointment is co-terminus with the project and will not confer any right to claim absorption in the regular establishment of the company or for appointment in other projects.
- No TA/DA is paid for attending the walk-in interview.
- Candidates must bring original certificates in proof of age, community, educational qualifications and experience, failing which the interview will not be held.
- Ex-contract employees of IRCON whose services were terminated due to closure of projects can also apply if they fulfil the required qualifications and experience, and a copy of the termination letter should be sent with the application.
- The number of posts may be increased, decreased, cancelled or modified at any time.
Compensation Package and Benefits
- Selected candidates are paid the initial Basic of the respective pay scale, Variable DA presently at 55.7% and Allowances at 15% of Basic. No pay protection is given.
- No HRA is given to contract employees on pay scale; Bachelor Accommodation is provided at project sites.
- Annual increment of 3% on Basic Pay based on performance, reviewed every year.
- 12 Casual Leaves and 12 Earned Leaves per year; Earned Leave is encashable after completing three years of service in IRCON. No other type of leave is admissible.
- Medical Health Insurance Policy of Rs. Five Lakhs for self with a premium ceiling of Rs. 8,000 per annum, covering Covid-19 and other diseases, to be taken by the employee and reimbursed on submission of the policy copy and original premium receipt.
- PF is deducted on a maximum wage ceiling of Rs. 30,000 with a matching contribution by IRCON, paid at cessation of contract.
- TA/DA/CTA is admissible as per entitlement of a regular employee in the equivalent pay scale, and telephone expenses as per entitlement of equivalent regular employees.
Service Bond
Contract employees on pay scale shall execute a service bond of Rs. Five Lakhs for serving the company for an initial period of 2 years and any subsequent extended period, subject to a maximum of three years.
Medical Standards
Candidates should be in sound health and free from color blindness. No relaxation in health standards will be allowed.
General Conditions
- The posts are specifically for IRCON's offices and projects in India and not for the regular establishment of IRCON.
- The performance of employees is reviewed after one year and services are terminated if performance is found unsatisfactory.
- One weekly off and other public holidays when the project office remains closed are available; working hours and days are the same as for the project.
- Selected candidates will be posted at IRCON's Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail -T2 Project.
