Selection Process

Prepared on the basis of marks scored in the specified educational qualification, subject to being found medically fit.

Important Details
- Candidates who have already undergone or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 in any government, public sector or private industrial organisation are not eligible.
- Qualifications acquired through distance learning, part-time or correspondence mode will not be considered.
- A candidate can apply for one trade only and must have an active email ID and mobile number valid until the end of the apprenticeship and one year after.
- IREL (India) Limited has no obligation to offer regular employment during or after the apprenticeship.
- Selected candidates must submit a Police Verification Certificate issued by the police authorities of their area of residence before joining, as the unit is a highly protected area.
- If selected, candidates can be attached to any department of the unit for training.

Merit and Tie-Breaking
Merit is based on marks scored in the specified qualifying examination. Where the final aggregate marks are not given in the pass certificate or final mark sheet, the average of all semesters or years is taken as the qualifying marks. Candidates awarded CGPA or grades must state the equivalent percentage as per their university or institute norms and produce a certificate to that effect at document verification. Ties are broken first by higher marks in the qualifying examination and then by seniority in date of birth.
Higher Qualification Restriction
Candidates holding ME/M.Tech, MCA, MBA, MSc, MA, M.Com or equivalent, CA/ICWA, PhD or LL.B (except for the AAO(P) post) need not apply as these are higher than the prescribed induction level qualifications. Suppressing information about holding or pursuing a higher qualification makes the candidate ineligible at any stage of selection and can lead to termination during engagement.
Reservation
Reservation for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PWD applies as per the prescribed percentage for the State of Kerala and relevant Government guidelines.
