The eligibility criteria for the Assistant Professor are same as prescribed for the regular Assistant Professor in UGC Regulation as adopted by the University of Delhi. Only candidates with a minimum API Score of 55 marks and above as indicated in the Guidelines for Screening and or Shortlisting of candidates for appointment of Assistant Professors in Colleges shall be eligible.

Screening Criteria (100-Point Scale)
Applications are screened on a 100-point scale: academic score 84 marks, research publications 06 marks and teaching or post-doctoral experience 10 marks. Within the academic score, M.Phil / M.Tech / LL.M / M.Ed or equivalent or Ph.D carries a maximum of 25 marks, JRF or NET a maximum of 10 marks and awards a maximum of 03 marks. Only candidates scoring 55 marks and above are eligible.
Shortlisting Rules
40 candidates are called for the first vacancy and 20 candidates for every additional vacancy, in order of rank in the list prepared by the Screening Committee for each category. Applicants with the same score as the cutoff for a category are also shortlisted. If 40 candidates are not available, the 55-mark cutoff may be relaxed by up to 5 marks, that is 50 marks for UR and 45 for SC/ST/PwBD.
