Eligibility Details
Junior Resident (MBBS) - Educational Qualification and Experience
Candidate must have completed one year rotatory internship on the date of interview. MBBS Degree from a recognized University or equivalent as per MCI/NMCs. Candidate must be registered with Delhi Medical Council. MBBS Candidates must not have completed 1 year Junior Residency from any Govt. Hospital on regular/contract basis and must have completed internship less than 02 years ago (List A). Junior Residents who have completed one year of Junior Residency or completed their internship more than 02 years ago (List B). List B will be offered residency only if List A candidates are not available. Separate merit lists for List B candidates would be prepared; the List A list would be exhausted first and List B used only after that.

Important Details
- Appointment and services are governed under the Residency Scheme.
- Initial appointment is for 06 months and extension may be given for another 06 months to MBBS candidates only, subject to satisfactory work and conduct.
- The qualification and experience will be counted up to the date of interview.
- Doctors found guilty of gross misconduct or negligence of duties shall be terminated without notice or payment in lieu of notice period.
- No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview and the fee submitted is non-refundable.
- The number of posts for all categories may increase or decrease, including complete withdrawal at any stage.
PWD Reservation
04% of seats out of the sanctioned posts in eligible specialties are reserved for Persons with Disability as per Government rules. A total of 1 post each will be reserved for PWD candidates with One Arm affected (OA) or One Leg affected (OL) in a non-surgical branch from amongst the advertised posts, depending upon suitability and availability of candidates who apply.
Benefits Not Admissible
Junior Residents are not entitled to any benefit like Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Treatment, Seniority, Promotion or any other benefit available to Government servants appointed on regular basis.
