About MPKV SRF and Technical Assistant Recruitment 2026

Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, an agricultural university at Rahuri in Maharashtra, has invited applications for two temporary posts, one Senior Research Fellow and one Technical Assistant, under an ad-hoc research project titled Development of Innovative Framework for Carbon-Neutral Multifunctional Landscape Using Advanced Data Driven Tools. The positions are based in the Department of Soil and Water Conservation Engineering at the Dr. A.S. College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology and are purely contractual for the project duration.

Qualification
M. Tech/M.E. in Soil and Water Conservation Engineering/Land and Water Management Engineering/ Water Resources Engineering/ Irrigation and Drainage Engineering/ Irrigation Water Management Engineering.
Desirable
Knowledge and/or experience of Remote Sensing and GIS software and GEE will be preferred
Technical Assistant1 post
Qualification
Graduation in B. Sc. Agriculture/B. E./B. Tech in Agricultural Engineering with proficiency in Computer Applications.
Desirable
Experience of working in watershed, soil sample collection, field data collection etc.

Age Limit

Upper age limit 40 years for men and 45 years for women

Salary Structure

Senior Research Fellow (SRF)
Pay: Rs. 37,000 per month + 10% HRA
Technical Assistant
Pay: Rs. 16,000 per month

Important Details

  • The posts are purely temporary and contractual under the ad-hoc research project, initially for 6 months or until the project ends, with no right to regularization.
  • Selected candidates must execute a bond on Rs. 100 stamp paper accepting the terms and conditions.
  • No additional documents other than those submitted with the application will be accepted before the last date, after the last date or at the time of interview.
  • Candidates must appear for the interview at their own cost.

Service Terms

  • The engagement is full time and the candidate cannot accept or hold any other appointment during the period
  • One month written notice or one month's salary is required to leave the assignment
  • Appointment can be terminated with 24 hours notice for negligence, grave misconduct or indiscipline
  • Candidates must work anywhere within the jurisdiction of MPKV as and when required
  • Research output during the engagement is the property of the project and MPKV, and the candidate has no right over it
  • The engagement stands terminated automatically on expiry of the project or the appointment order, whichever is earlier
