Important Details

  • Candidates serving in Govt. / Quasi Govt. offices, Public Sector Undertakings including Nationalized Banks and Financial Institutions must submit a No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses will not be paid.
  • The engagement is on contract and the Specialist has no right or claim for regular placement in NABARD.
  • Eligibility is determined as on 01.10.2026 and is verified at the interview and joining stage.
  • All revisions or corrigenda will be hosted only on the Bank's website.

Contract Terms and Benefits

  • Engagement is for 02 years from the date of appointment, extendable for a further period of 03 years, reviewed one year at a time and in no case beyond 05 years.
  • Either side may terminate the contract with one month's notice; if the notice period is not served, the Specialist pays a sum equal to the pay for the notice period.
  • Specialists are not entitled to superannuation benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension or Gratuity.
  • Annual increment up to a maximum of 10% may be granted based on satisfactory performance and at the discretion of the Bank.
  • Official tours outside headquarters carry Travelling and Halting Allowance as admissible to officers of equivalent grade.
  • Medical facility for self only, at the Dispensary of the Bank wherever available.

Leave Rules

  • Maximum of 30 days leave per calendar year during the contract period, on a proportionate basis.
  • Total absence during the contract period cannot be beyond 10 days at any point of time except on emergency medical grounds with a medical certificate.
  • Absence of more than 01 month is treated as notice period except where leave is approved by the concerned department's CGM/OIC.
  • Leave is not allowed during the notice period except on emergency medical grounds.
  • Un-availed leave at the end of a year cannot be carried forward.
  • Intervening holidays during the period of absence are reckoned as leave.

Accommodation and Facilities

  • Quarters may be allotted on request and subject to availability against payment of a licence fee of 0.5% of remuneration.
  • A fixed House Rent Allowance of 10% of remuneration is paid in the event of non-allotment of quarters.
  • NABARD provides office space, internet connectivity and other support facilities, plus lounge facilities as applicable to officers of the Bank (not applicable for remote working).

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The Specialists engaged on contract are not entitled to any superannuation benefits such as Provident Fund, Pension or Gratuity.
