- MBBS Degree from recognized university with one year compulsory rotatory internship. Should be registered with State Medical Council or with Medical Council of India-New Delhi. One House Job (six months) in any department or Minimum of six months of Post Qualification work experience.

- Both posts are backlog vacancies: 01 OBC for Medical Officer-MCH under NHM, and 01 SC plus 01 OBC for Medical Officer/GDMO under PMABHIM.
- These backlog posts have been advertised many times but no reserved category candidate appeared for interview, so if again no reserved category candidate appears, the posts will be filled from the General Category on a conditional basis up to 31.03.2027.
- Approval for extension of PMABHIM has been received up to 30.03.2027 from the Government of India and is likely to be extended.
- Existing Medical Officers working on contract basis under NHM, U.T, Chandigarh are eligible to apply.
- No TA/DA will be paid for the interview.
- The Mission Director, NHM reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts and even reject the walk-in interview without assigning any reason.
Reservation Certificate Conditions
SC and OBC claims are considered only when accompanied by a certificate issued by the competent authority. OBC candidates must belong to the Union Territory of Chandigarh and their community must be in the Central list of Other Backward Classes for the UT of Chandigarh, in accordance with the Ministry of Home Affairs notification dated 05.08.2025.
