- The appointment is on a tenure basis for 3 years and the incumbent reverts to the parent organization after the tenure.
- Candidates already in service must submit a NOC from the present employer.

- Persons under Central or State Governments, Universities, educational institutes of higher learning, statutory or semi-government or autonomous organizations and PSUs holding analogous posts may also be considered for deputation, for a period of three years.
Terms of Appointment
The Registrar is appointed on a scale of pay of Rs. 37400-67000 with Grade Pay Rs. 10000 (PB-4 under 6th CPC) or Pay Matrix Level 14 (under 7th CPC). The tenure is 3 years, with eligibility for re-appointment for one more term subject to approval of the Board of Governors. The Registrar is entitled to leave, allowances, travelling allowance, leave travel concession, medical attendance rules and retirement benefits admissible to university employees.
