Applicant should at a minimum possess MBBS degree of any University recognized by the Medical Council of India in the Allopathic system of medicine. Applicant having post graduate Degree in General Medicine may also apply. Applicant should have a minimum of two (2) years post qualification experience practicing Allopathic system of medicine in any hospital or clinic as a Medical Practitioner.

Selection Process
- 1Interview
The Bank conducts an interview for shortlisted candidates and may raise the minimum eligibility criteria to limit the number called.
- 2Medical Examination
Candidates shortlisted after the interview undergo a medical examination as per prescribed norms, at their own cost.
- 3Document Verification
Documents are verified before the candidate is empanelled as Medical Consultant on contract basis.
Salary Structure
Rs. 1,400 per hour
Fixed hourly remuneration of Rs. 1,400 per hour, payable on a monthly basis as per actual duty hours performed. Out of the monthly remuneration, Rs. 1,000 per month is treated as conveyance expenses. Mobile charges reimbursed at Rs. 1,000 per month. Rs. 1,400 per hour is paid for attending a dispensary on a public holiday.

Important Details
- The engagement is purely contractual and on an hourly basis, with no claim to regular employment.
- Candidates seeking SC/ST reservation must submit a caste certificate in the prescribed proforma meant for appointment to posts under the Government of India, and the caste name must match the central government lists exactly.
- SC/ST engagement is provisional and subject to submission of a Caste Validity or Income and Asset certificate within 6 months of engagement.
- Shortlisted candidates bear the cost of their own medical tests.
- A candidate placed on the panel is engaged as and when a requirement arises, after accepting the Terms and Conditions in Annex-II and the Code of Conduct in Annex-III, and must sign an agreement with the Bank before engagement.

Other Engagement Conditions
The Medical Consultant must have his or her own dispensary or place of residence within a radius of 3 to 5 km from the Bank's dispensaries. Engagement hours may be increased up to 30 hours per week, and the total hours across all dispensaries put together will not exceed 30 hours per week. No pension, provident fund, gratuity, leave or other perquisites are admissible. The Bank may shift the place of engagement among its dispensaries and may use the consultant's services at its other dispensaries.
