About SAIL IISCO Trade Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Steel Authority of India Limited has announced the engagement of Trade Apprentices at its IISCO Steel Plant in Burnpur, West Bengal, under the Apprenticeship Act 1961. Eligibility Details

Trade Apprentice

ITI passed in the relevant trade. Candidates should apply in their passed-out ITI trade against the vacancies shown on the NAPS portal. Candidates whose contract ID has already been created under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 during apprenticeship training in any other organisation are not eligible.

Minimum 18 years as on 28.09.2026

Selection Process

    Merit List based on ITI Marks

    Selection is on the basis of marks obtained during ITI in the specified category and trade; in case of a tie in aggregate marks, the older candidate is preferred.

Salary Structure

Rs 9,600 to Rs 10,560 per month (lumpsum stipend)

Important Details

  • Candidates whose contract ID has already been created under the Apprenticeship Act 1961 during apprenticeship training in any other organisation are not eligible to apply.
  • The apprenticeship does not create any right to claim regular employment at SAIL-ISP, and shortlisted candidates must submit a notarized undertaking that they will not demand employment on the basis of the training or its completion.
  • Candidature is provisional and subject to verification of certificates and testimonials.

Waiting List

The company will provide medical facilities as per the provisions of the Workmen Compensation Act as mentioned in the Apprenticeship Act. Apprentices must arrange their own accommodation and other related arrangements.
