- Four years integrated degree course from an NCTE-recognized university with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject as well as in the aggregate, including B.Ed component; or Bachelor/Honours Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject and aggregate with B.Ed from an NCTE recognised institution; or Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks and 1-year B.Ed (Special Education) from RCI with at least 50% marks; or Post Graduate in the concerned subject with minimum 55% marks and three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed from an NCTE recognised institution with at least 50% marks. Qualified in CTET Paper-II; competence to teach through English and Hindi; studied English as an elective or main subject in at least 3 years or 6 semesters.

- Desirable: experience of working in a school; knowledge of computer applications.

- Desirable: experience in providing career/educational counselling to students in a reputed residential school; registration with Rehabilitation Council of India as vocational counsellor; working knowledge and experience in placement bureaus as counsellor; working knowledge of computers.
