- The two posts are filled by deputation/absorption from eligible officers of Major Port Authorities, and applications must be forwarded through proper channel.
- An advance copy alone will not be considered unless the application is received through proper channel within 15 days of the last date, that is by 20.11.2026.
- Incomplete applications or applications received after the due date will not be considered.
- If any major or minor penalty was imposed on the applicant in the last 10 years, details of the disciplinary case must be sent by the forwarding authority with the application.

Deputation Terms
- Period of deputation is three years from the date of taking charge, extendable by a maximum of two years
- The officer may elect to draw pay in the SMPK scale or basic pay in the parent organization scale plus deputation allowance thereon
- Deputation allowance is 5% of basic pay up to Rs. 4,500 per month for same-station deputation and 10% up to Rs. 9,000 for change of station, plus 25% where parent organization DA exceeds 50%
- Officers opting for the SMPK scale get perks and allowances up to 35% of basic pay under the cafeteria approach
- House Rent Allowance at KDS, SMPK rates; joining time pay and travelling allowance on joining and reversion are borne by SMPK
- Premature reversion to the parent organization requires three months advance notice, except in exceptional circumstances
