Selection Process

Salary Structure

Important Details
- The COO is appointed on contract for 3 years or co-terminus with the CoE, whichever is earlier, and the contract may be renewed based on performance.
- The COO reports to the CEO of the concerned CoE and the STPI Jurisdictional Director.
- Experience in the relevant field is counted only after attaining the minimum essential qualification.
- No TA/DA is paid for appearing in the interview.
- Work location can change based on mutual agreement.
- Canvassing in any form leads to disqualification.

- Business acumen and an eye for detail
- Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills and experience as an enabler for start-ups or the innovation ecosystem, or as an entrepreneur or start-up founder
- Detailed knowledge of all the domains and areas that constitute the start-up ecosystem

- Previous senior-level experience collaborating with government departments, agencies, allied organizations, the private sector or venture capitalists, along with demonstrated fundraising for non-profit organizations, is preferred
Job Description
The COO, with the CEO and the STPI Jurisdictional Director of the CoE, develops the vision, strategy and business model of the domain-specific CoE and implements it with continuous review. The role covers domain-centric incubation and acceleration, start-up recruitment and outreach, strategic partnerships with corporates, PSUs, industry associations and research institutions, entrepreneurship and technology skilling, IP awareness and patent filing support, a monitoring and evaluation framework, budget planning and statutory compliance, and building a team and mentor network for the CoE.
