Tie-Breaking Rules

If total marks are equal, local status is considered first, with candidates local to Telangana ranked higher. If marks and local status are equal, the elder candidate by date of birth is ranked higher. If those are also equal, marks in the subject paper other than General Studies are considered, then the date of passing the qualifying examination, then the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination, then higher qualification, and finally the date of passing and percentage of marks in the higher qualification.

Local Reservation

Local reservation applies to 95% of the posts notified under Multi Zone-II as per Para-8 of G.O.Ms.No.124. A candidate is a local candidate if he studied in an educational institution in the local area for at least four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he first appeared for the qualifying examination, or resided in that local area for at least four years immediately preceding the qualifying examination.

Normalization of CBRT Scores

If the Computer Based Recruitment Test is conducted in multiple sessions, the Commission normalizes the scores to account for variation in question papers across sessions and announces results on a percentile basis. Normalized marks are calculated up to five decimal places and only normalized marks are taken for preparation of the General Ranking List.
