Project Director - Qualification and Experience
B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent from Government recognized University/Institute. The applicant should be working for at least two years in SAG or an equivalent grade in the pay scale of Rs. 1,20,000-2,80,000 (IDA) or Rs. 1,44,200-2,18,200/Level-14 of 7th CPC Pay matrix (CDA) in Government organisations/Government Metro companies, with proven track record of a minimum of twenty (20) years of service at Group A/Executive Level. An applicant presently working in CDA/IDA pay scales in Government Organisations/Government Metro Companies who has previously worked in the Private sector may have executive service in a reputed Private sector considered for computing the requisite twenty (20) years of executive level service, with supporting documents. Eligible work experience: minimum of five (5) years' experience in Planning/Construction, tendering and executing multi-disciplinary/large infrastructure projects of Metro/Railways.

Important Details
- The post is offered on deputation or absorption basis.
- The candidate should be free from D&AR/Vigilance.
- Submission of NOC before the interview is a must for participating in the interview process.
- Candidates may be posted at any of the project sites or offices at any location of UPMRC projects during their tenure.
- Vacancies are provisional and subject to increase or decrease.
- The applicant must be physically and medically fit as per Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM).
- All candidates called for interview will not be paid any travelling allowance by UPMRC.

Desirable Work Experience
- Experience in underground Metro constructions including tunnels.
- Experience of all phases of a project of internationally funded contracts, i.e. planning, tender document preparation, bidding, execution, commissioning, post-commissioning etc.
- Experience and knowledge of complying with project related requirements of international funding institutions.
- Experience and knowledge of coordinating and interfacing with Railway related disciplines such as track installation, signaling, electrification and rolling stock etc.
- Experience and knowledge of safety aspects relating to railway construction including clearance and certification from Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS).
Job Description
- Overall Project Management for all civil construction activities including safety and quality control, planning, scheduling, monitoring and controlling of preliminary and final designs, tendering, track works, contract administration and commissioning.
- Project monitoring, interface management, quality assurance and safety, cost control of works for the project.
- Land acquisition, rehabilitation of project affected persons/businesses, utility and traffic diversions required for construction of the Metro Project.
- Arranging necessary clearances and statutory approvals for implementation of the project during construction and commissioning.
Surety Bond (Absorption Basis)
Applicable to those who join on absorption basis and not to executives who join on deputation basis. The selected candidate will execute a surety bond of Rs. 3,00,000 to serve the Corporation for a minimum period of three years (exclusive of the period in which one remained in LWP or EOL), and three months prior notice will be required before seeking resignation from the Corporation.
Probation
The selected candidate on appointment will be on probation for a period of two years, including the period of training.
Physical and Medical Fitness
The applicant should not only be suitable in the related field but should also be physically and medically fit as per Indian Railway Medical Manual (IRMM).
