Important Details
- The engagement is purely on contract basis for one year initially and does not confer any right on the candidate to claim continuous engagement or appointment to any post in the Port Authority.
- The crucial date for determining eligibility is the date of notification, 29-09-2026.
- Canvassing in any form is a disqualification, and VPA reserves the right to cancel the notification or increase or decrease the number of posts.

Terms and Conditions of Contract Engagement
- Tenure is one year initially from the date of joining or reporting to VPA, extendable at the discretion of the Port Authority on satisfactory performance.
- Consolidated monthly remuneration of Rs. 60,000; no benefit other than this remuneration is admissible.
- 12 days leave in a calendar year on pro-rata basis, with prior permission of the competent authority; absence without permission leads to proportionate deduction.
- Minimum 8 hours duty per day on general or shift basis, and attendance on all working days, Port holidays and in emergencies after duty hours without additional remuneration.
- Suitable Type IV quarters may be provided on request on payment of standard or market rent, besides water, electricity and conservancy charges; bachelor accommodation is not provided.
- Reimbursement of up to Rs. 500 per month towards mobile phone recharge or actuals, whichever is less.
- Medical facilities in case of accident or injury during duty are provided at GJH only.
- The officer works under the control of the Deputy Conservator (HoD), VPA, and must wear proper uniform during duty hours following all safety norms.
- One month notice is required to quit service; one month's left over remuneration is forfeited if resignation is tendered without notice.
