Contractual Engagement basis: Must have a bachelor's degree in any engineering discipline, and candidates must be presently working in a Govt. organization/Railways/PSUs/Metro organization with an annual CTC of Rs. 14 lakh, Rs. 15 lakh or Rs. 19 lakh as applicable. Deputation and Post Retirement Contractual Engagement bases: educational qualification not applicable; eligibility is based on the pay scale held. All candidates should be working or have worked in any Govt. organization/Railways/PSUs/Metro organization at senior administrative/decision-making level with experience and expertise in the Operations Department, must be conversant with functioning in a computerized environment and free from the D&AR and Vigilance angle. Experience: minimum 20 years of professional experience in a rail based transportation system, of which 13 years must be in an executive grade in a rail based MRTS holding responsibilities of operations of trains, OCC, DCC and station management; out of this, 5 years as Head Operations or 8 years as Deputy Head Operations in an underground rail based MRTS.

Selection is through a personal interview that judges knowledge, skills, comprehension, aptitude and physical fitness; candidates must qualify the screening process.

Salary Structure
Deputation: parent department pay plus Incentive at 25% of Basic Pay, inclusive of deputation allowance. Post Retirement Contractual Engagement: consolidated fee of Rs. 200800 for those from CDA Level 14 or IDA Rs. 120000-280000 and above, Rs. 172200 for CDA Level 13A or IDA Rs. 100000-260000 and above, Rs. 154200 for CDA Level 13 or IDA Rs. 90000-240000 and above. Contractual Engagement: consolidated salary of Rs. 168640 for JGM, Rs. 183840 for AGM and Rs. 224250 for GM.

Important Details

Service Conditions for Contractual Engagement
- TA/DA admissible on outstation duty as per the entitlement for the corresponding level
- 08 days Casual Leave on pro-rata basis and 18 days Earned Leave (1.5 EL per completed month of service)
- Engagement stands terminated automatically on expiry of the term, and can be terminated prematurely by either side with one month notice or remuneration in lieu
- No claim for continued engagement or regular employment in the company under any circumstances
- Engagement is void ab initio and terminated forthwith if any particulars furnished are found false or incorrect
Job Description and Responsibilities
The incumbent is responsible for the direct daily operations of all revenue and non-revenue trains, train and station crews, terminals, yards and stations, transportation services planning, customer and employee safety and security, and daily interaction and cooperation with external agencies and third parties including other contractors and consultants.
Terms of Appointment
- Deputation: normal tenure of five years, extendable to seven years in special cases or till the date of superannuation, whichever is earlier
- Post Retirement Contractual Engagement: initial engagement of one year, extendable subject to requirement and satisfactory performance
- Contractual Engagement: initial engagement of three years, extendable subject to requirement and satisfactory performance; engagement ends on attaining the age of 60 years
- Contractual engagement carries no claim of regularization; minimum PF at 12% on Rs. 15000 (Rs. 1800 per month) is deducted with an equal DMRC contribution, and gratuity is paid taking 65% of consolidated remuneration as basic pay with DA treated as NIL
- No enhancement in consolidated salary during the initial engagement period of three years
