Eligibility Details
Sr. Section Engineer/Inspection/S&T - Qualification and Experience
Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) Pay Level-7 working in the concerned department (S&T) of a Zonal Railway or Production Unit. Sr. Section Engineers of the concerned department working in a level higher than Level-7 may also apply; on selection they may be transferred to RDSO along with their substantive post of appropriate level (8 and above), and a Level-7 post will be temporarily transferred from RDSO to their parent unit for the duration of the tenure at RDSO. Minimum 05 years of service experience as Sr. Section Engineer (Cadre Post) Pay Level-7 is necessary. No case under D&AR, SPE/Vigilance should be pending or contemplated. Total APAR grading of the last three years (2022-23, 2023-24 and 2024-25) should not be less than 11 marks and the grading of the APAR of the last year should not be less than 'GOOD'. Candidate must have minimum 05 years' residual service. Medical Category A-3 is required. A cooling-off period of three years will be maintained between two tenures in RDSO. Candidates against whom any penalty was imposed as an outcome of a vigilance case during the previous RDSO tenure will be debarred. Experience in ex-cadre posts and pay level granted due to MACP will not be considered.

A Screening Committee screens eligible candidates and awards marks for the APAR of the last three years (maximum 15 marks) and educational and professional qualifications (maximum 5 marks).

- The selected candidate will be posted in the concerned department for 04 years on a tenure basis, extendable or curtailable as per administrative requirements, and is liable to be posted anywhere in India.
- The post is ex-cadre and the incumbent will be eligible for further promotion in the parent cadre only.
- Selection and posting against the SSE/Inspection post are subject to the availability of Inspection posts, and inspection work may in future be carried out by other agencies.
- The vacancy position may change at the discretion of the office.
