Assistant Loco Pilot / Senior Assistant Loco Pilot - Qualification and Experience
Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI from recognised institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the trades of Armature and Coil Winder / Electrician / Electronics Mechanic / Fitter / Heat Engine / Instrument Mechanic / Machinist / Mechanic Diesel / Mechanic (Motor Vehicle) / Millwright Maintenance Mechanic / Mechanic Radio & TV / Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Mechanic / Tractor Mechanic / Turner / Wireman; OR Matriculation/SSLC plus course completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above; OR HSC/12th Std. (10+2) Science pass in regular schooling; OR 3 years Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile Engineering (or) combination of various streams of engineering disciplines from a recognized Institution in lieu of ITI; OR Degree in the engineering disciplines as above in lieu of Diploma in Engineering. Candidates must be holding the post of ALP/Sr. ALP in the regular cadre of the Indian Railway and must possess the requisite A1 Medical classification and be medically fit to perform Running Staff duties.

Salary Structure
7th CPC Pay Matrix Level-2 and Level-4. The employee draws the pay which would have been admissible on the parent Railway from time to time, plus deputation (duty) allowance.
Grade Pay: GP Rs. 1900 (Pay Matrix Level-2) and GP Rs. 2400 (Pay Matrix Level-4)
