Eligibility Details
Age Relaxation
7 (5 + 2) years for SI / ASI level and SCT PC (Driver) posts and 10 (5 + 2 + 3) years for PC level posts (except PC Driver), over and above the maximum age limit prescribed in the Recruitment Rules.
Selection Process
- 1Preliminary Written Test
First stage for SCT PC (Civil) and equivalent posts, tentatively on 20 December 2026 in the forenoon; there is no negative marking.
- 2Physical Measurement Test / Physical Efficiency Test
Second stage for SCT PC (Civil) and equivalent posts, and the first stage for SCT PC Driver and SCT PC Mechanic posts.
- 3Final Written Examination
Last stage of the three-tier filtration process for SCT PC (Civil) and equivalent posts, and the second stage for the Driver and Mechanic posts.
Important Details
- The 20 December 2026 Preliminary Written Test for SCT PC (Civil) and equivalent posts is tentative and may change.
- It will be held in the forenoon at 15 to 18 locations, including the erstwhile 10 district headquarters of Telangana.
- There is no negative marking in the PWT.
- The SI Civil and equivalent PWT is likely on 29 November 2026 at the erstwhile 10 district headquarters.

TSLPRB received 5,77,064 applications from 4,29,000 candidates, an average of 1.34 applications per candidate. 68.45% filed one application, 28.88% filed two and 2.423% filed three. Women filed 1,46,220 applications (25.33%) and men filed 4,30,844 (74.66%). 49.19% of applications came from BC candidates and 43.60% from SC / ST candidates, who received a 50% fee concession.
Aadhaar Face Authentication
Aadhaar Face Authentication was used for the first time in this police recruitment. 97.4% of candidates completed it in the Aadhaar app while filling Part I of the application. The remaining 2.6% must complete it in their login area by 30 September 2026, after which they can download their application form PDF.
